January Crop

Hi, yesterday saw me taking myself over to my bi-monthly crop at Renhold, Bedfordshire. The crop is run by the lovely Chrissy who is assisted on the day by her hubby and daughter. Chrissy owns www.merlyimpressions.co.uk and the layouts for the day (2 each time) use the beautiful papers by Kaisercraft. Chrissy's shop holds the largest stock here in the UK so please pop by and take a look.

I didn't think I was going to get there this time as we were forecast 2-4 inch's of snow overnight but when I woke there had not been a flake so happy me shot off.
In this layout I chose to use a photo my Dad had taken when my son had stayed with them last summer. They were walking together along the prom in Llandudno. Chrissy is a big fan of fussy cutting and there was quite a bit to be done in both layouts. The kits are great value and when I have finished the second layout I know I will still have lots to use up.
Thanks for stopping by,

Sue

Easter Bunny

Well it's that time again over on www.mypapercrafting.com for the Didi Desserts Fridaze link up. I have no idea where that week went to!!
This week I decided to make a 5x7 top fold card. I covered it with some free papers I had in a magazine a couple of years ago. As the paper has the stitching all over it I carried it on in my layers. I used my Cricut to cut out the ovals using PS cartridge, I ran one through my GC using a daisy folder and inked the edges using TH spice marmalade. The ribbon I ran under the image and the two eggs are foam padded stickers I picked up a while back too.
The image is the bunny by the fence and I coloured him in using my Promarker pens. The sentiment is printed from my pc.
Now why don't you go take a peek at what else has been made by the design team and grab this weeks free digi. If you use it be sure to link up and you could win a prize.

Oh I have just noticed I wanted to add a gem to each flower.....it will be done by the time this is sent out.

Forever & Always Yours

Hi,
Here is my card for today's DDF challenge over at  www.mypapercrafting.com  I have used the cute sheep design and chose to leave in the sentiment above her. I coloured her in using my Promarker pens and added a few gems along with some faux stitching. I cut her out using my Spellbinder die and made a mat.
I cut out a flower shaped card using my Cricut 5 1/4 and then cut out the flower paper which I matted on to the front. I added a small ribbon to the fold and a bow to the top of the sentiment which is a stamp from Kaisercraft. Just to finish it off I added a heart button with some wax thread.

Please pop over there to see what my other design girl friends have made this week. There is a free digi to download today and if you link up your card to this week you could also win another from the wide variety available.

Fridaze time again

Hello again,
Here am I pleased to share with you my card I have made for this week over on www.mypapercrafting.com in the Digi Desserts Fridaze challenge.
I chose to use the "in to every life a little rain must fall" digi which came out in December just gone by but I didn't get to play with it till now. I made a 5x4 easel card and covered it with Hot Off The Pres paper which I have had for about 10 years just waiting to be chossen. The image was printed at 4x4 and I coloured it in using Pro Marker pens. I used a Spellbinder die to give it some shape and made a faux nestie mat. I also cut out 2 flowers and two flourishes.

Please go over to see what else has been made this week and if you link up your design you could stand to win a prize if picked.

Floaty cards

Hello again,
I made this card for my friend at work to give. It follows the sketch offered by Shelby on Raq's Challenge last week. I used double sided paper I have had for a while along with my new stamps from Kaisercrafts bought at www.merlyimpressions.co.uk the sentiment is a rub on I bought there too. I used my Cricut and Story Book cartridge to cut the circle and its mat. The card is a A5 size.

This is another made to order. Again it is a A5 size (I like them big). I used a paper I have had a while which I ran through my GC using tied the knot folder and inked using worn lipstick. I used again Story Book for the Mum. The image is a Kaisercraft panel off one of the "Pickled Pear" collection papers, I added the Birthday stamp into the empty space. Again I used the butterfly stamp, the center ribbon is the strip that Kaisercraft add to the bottom of every paper. I'd like to thank you for looking.

Fridaze Frankincense Digi

Well here we are joining in on the design team over at www.mypapercrafting.com I am happy to be joining the digi design team, there are 2 other groups to watch too.
For this my first one of the year I have used the free digi designed by Melinda. It is of course Frankincense, I have to admit I had to look it up to see what colour it was.
The card is a 6x6, I printed out the image at 3inch and used my Pro markers to colour it in. I used Spellbinders scallop circle and scalloped hexagon to mount and mat the image. The paper is Peace on Earth by Paper Studio. I finished it off with a soft peach ribbon and a few dashes of gold Micron Pen.

Please go over to see what else has been made this Friday. Thanks for looking in.
