Vellum Vision

Hi,
Today I decided to share a card I made to join in with a challenge over at www.vervestamps.blogspot.com This time the Diva Dare is to use vellum somewhere on your card and to include one of their stamps too.

Here is my card which I made using 3 scraps of vellum I found in my Christmas stash box, I have had these 2 patterned pieces for years but just couldn't throw them out...you all know how that goes right!

The card is a 5x7 which I added a sheet of blue snowflake paper to, then I matted both vellum papers on white so you could see them. The snowflake die from Spellbinders is using another plane sheet of vellum along with white, blue and silver mirri. I added some blue sequins to the mix and 4 brads.

I decided to hang the sentiment off the card which is from "O Christmas Tree" set. In the next photo you can see the dimension to the card. Goodness knows how this will fare in the post!!

I am also sharing this card on the www.lacysunshinechallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Oh Christmas Tree....challenge 147

Hi,
Today it's my turn to choose the theme this time around over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com and I've come up with this. Make a card or project but it must have a Christmas Tree on it somewhere.

There couldn't be easier at this time of the year. Remember you can add up to 3 items per challenge so lets make this one a blast.

Here is my first of two cards which have Christmas trees on them.

This is a 7x7 card using a kraft cardblank. I chose to use the image off a Graphic 45 sheet of Christmas toppers I bought last year. I picked out the peach of the girls dress and then a frosty blue from the image to use as my mats. I mounted the image on dark red glitter card which linked in the ribbon and the strip of paper I embossed the Merry Christmas sentiment on (that was a freebie) I also rubbed over it with some gilding wax. The two smaller sentiments are Verve Stamps from their O Christmas Tree set.

Now this second card is one from a kit I picked up free in a magazine. The background papers were included as well as the toppers and sentiment discs. With this I just added ribbon and the strip of red with the stars punched out.

Hope you can join in this time around as it is the last of the year. Thanks for popping in.

Verve's Naturally Navy Challenge

Hi,
Today I decided to join in with the Naturally Navy challenge over at http://vervestamps.blogspot.com
I have been watching and enjoying all the cards the Design Team have been posting for a few months now and thought "well it's time to join in" so here I go.

This is a wedding card I have made to take along tonight to the reception (talk about last minute Charlie!) of a work colleague of my husband. Their colour is navy so there you go.

I have made a 7x7 cream card blank added Blue Awning paper after it went through a embossing folder. The stamp is Heart Wreath by Chloe and embossed with WOW diamond white. I added some perfect pearls to it too. This was then matted several times. I added a crushed navy bow with some twigs in silver mirri and a gem. The sentiment stamps are from the Wishing You set and they too are on silver mirri.

Thanks for stopping by.

challenge 146 Turkey Time

Hi,
My good friend Sandy picked this challenge for us over at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com For this time around we have to make a card or project with a turkey on it somewhere. This should be fun as there are quite a few images out there, I know cause I've been looking lol.
I have made two cards for this challenge and instead of it being a Thanksgiving card (which we don't celebrate over here in the UK) they are Christmas cards. They have a nostalgic feel to them as I am using images from a search on vintage Christmas Turkey Dinner I made on the web.

I have used up papers from Kaisercraft along with other from my stash. Added ribbon, doily and buttons to lift them. I also embossed the background paper on each too.

Now please pop over to see what the others have made and then have ago yourself.
