December Reminder for Besties International.

Hello there,
Thanks for stopping by today, it's the 15th so it is reminder time for the Besties International challenge we are still thinking Christmas/Winter. So keep sharing your cards and projects with us, we LOVE to see them.

Here is my card for today, it uses the beautiful Img 207 from the Fluffies Collection.

I have made this 6x6 card from Kraft cardstock. I first inked the edges of this Kaisercraft paper with Fired Brick by Tim Holtz then added it to the front. I then cut 2 mats from green cardstock and added a fabric looking paper to them. I offset the larger one then added a fancy boarder which I had inked. The cluster of poinsettias were added to the left along with some sprigs. I added a fancy corner to the top and a little flower head too.
The beautiful Fluffie image was coloured in with Promarker pens and then cut out, I added her using foam pads, but in the middle I added 2 layers to make her more rounded. To finish off I added copious amounts of gems and a lovely sentiment off a Kaiser paper.

Thanks for stopping by today, please leave a word or two so I know you have been. Don't forget to link up your own creation as you may win a wonderful image or two.

Cuddling Santa

Hello,
I'd like to share with you today a new card I have made for an order. This card uses a Sherri Baldy image called Winter Santa  and it can be purchased here at the mybestiesshop.com

This card is a large 7x7 bright white card blank which allows me to print the image quite large as the card is for a 2 year old so the image is key.
As I coloured in the image first I knew the papers I would be using so the bells matched the first mat of card, which was then used several more times. The ribbon I have had for sometime and it always reminds me of Christmas. The little image button was made by a lady who attends the crop I go to. She used Kaisercraft papers. The Ho,Ho,Ho die cut was given to me by my BFF Sandy (thanks honey). I have added glitter to the hats and Glossy Accents to the bells and berries. After dotting a few sequins about and gems to the snowy corner I was done.

I'd also like to enter in to the fun over at scrapbookstampsocietychallengeblog with this card.
As well as mybestiesaussiechallenge.

Hope you like it, please leave a word if you have stopped by as its always nice to know what you think.

December Challenge at Besties International.

Hello again,

My post this time is for Besties International . As it is the 1st of the month it's time to start a new challenge and this one is for Christmas/Winter. So you can make for a holiday or another winter event. There are some great prizes to win if you come over and join in.

I have chosen to make a sweet box wrap.

We all know how hard it is to think of gifts for teachers and helpers, it can cost so much when you have a few to buy for. So this makes an inexpensive box of sweets in to a nice little gift with its addition of a seasonal wrap.
I have used Kaisercraft papers along with a Spellbinder die and a little fired brick ink. then I took the Img 943 and coloured it in using my Promarker pens. I cut it out and matted it on to red card then lifted her up using foam pads.
You could make the wraps very quickly and then take your time colouring in and add to the gift just before you hand them out.

There are plenty more wonderful images to be found over at the Sherri Baldy Etsy Shop for lots of holidays not just Christmas.
Thanks for stopping by today, please leave a comment so I know you have been by.

I am entering this project in the following challenges. mybestiesaussiechallenge.blogspot

Eclectic Ellapu December Challenge.

Hello There,
Time for another fun challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu and this time it is finally Christmas!!

Well for us card makers its our busiest time of the year and most of us have been at it for months lol. The challenge is to make a Christmas Card or any other Winter Holiday.

Here is my take on this challenge

This card is a deep red 5x7 card blank, which I have matted a lovely smooth green card on to. Then I have chosen a piece of a Kaisercraft Xmas paper which as you can see has the trees and little birds dotted about. I then added a "merry" cut on my Cricut machine and a Christmas cut by a die to the top I added a couple of extra birds on foam pads and some dots of Stickle's red glitter glue. The green snowflake die in the bottom right is new to me this year as I picked it up in a sale in the summer.
I then went to my stash of Besties Images and picked out this little cutie which is Scann004-MyBesties-Christmas and coloured her in using my Promarker Pens, I lifted her up on foam pads too. If you'd like to purchase this or any other Bestie image you can get one here Scrapbook Stamp Society .

Thanks for stopping by, check out the other girls creations and then link up yours.

Challenge 195, think winter!

Hello,
Well this fortnight it is my turn to choose the theme over at My Sheri Crafts and in readiness for the busy time of the year for us card makers I have chosen for us to make a card or project with a "Winter" theme. Now it hasn't got to be Christmas it could be any winter holiday.

Here is what I have come up with,

This is a 6x6 bright white card blank which I have matted on to it a smooth green card and then a almost knitted looking black paper which first went down on to red and then gold mirri card. The image is by Elizabeth Bell by Hobbyhouse, which I cut out using a stitched circle die. I matted that on to the same green and gold as before. I quite liked offsetting the circle to one side giving me room to add a cluster of snowflakes along with a few dots of perfect pearls and a gold sentiment on a tiny banner.

Please pop over and check out the other girls ideas and then when your ready link up your card.

Card in a Box

Hello,
Today I wish to share with you a Card in a Box for a young lady who will be turning 21 soon. The brief was something girly with shoes, fashion, hand bags oh and did I mention girly lol.

Here is what I made,

The papers used are by Kaisercraft and Cor-denations. I also used girly collection fancy buttons, ribbon from my stash along with a silver key and heart pearl button surrounded by gems. The stamps are by Verve Stamps the butterfly and flower are on clear acetate to give the impression of flying away.
There is a cute little surprise under the front flap as this young lady is training to be a hairdresser.

Thanks for stopping by today.

A Little November My Bestie Reminder Card

Hello,
Well it's the 15th of the month so that makes it reminder day over at Besties International and this month we are thinking 'Fall' so you will see lovely cards and projects with that theme in mind.

So here is my thought on it, take one cute little guy and his sling shot trying to get down the neighbours ripe apples and so with a couple of misses he is looking a bit sheepish when he's caught!!

I made the 5.5 x 5.5 card blank in white. Covered it with Core-denations Tulip card and on to that Kaisercrafts 'Class Act' paper which shows rulers and stuff in basic colours.
Using Tim Holtz splat die I cut out 3 and placed them down the left side raising the top one on foam pads. I cut out 2 dragon flies twice attaching only down their bodies so their wings could lift. The sentiment is a Verve one as is the black edge die under the little fella.
The cute little guy is image 571 and you could win him if you enter our challenge. If not he is available here in the Scrapbook Stamp Society Shop

Pop over to see what the girls have made and then join in.

Frame It!

Hi,
Over at scrapbook stamp society challenge blog they have a new challenge and it is one of anything goes with a frame. It so happens I made this card before I saw this challenge so thought I'd give it a go.

The card is a large A5 which I have made another card top and to that I added the pretty flower paper but not before I stitched around the edges. I distressed the edges and then added it. I added a pink doily, some paper flowers and leaves, a few gems and a sentiment which I matted twice.
I printed out my image and coloured her in using my Promarker pens. I cut out a frame using 2 Spellbinder dies and placed it over her. I then made another mat using another die and placed my image on top of it using foam pads to give lift.
Thanks for stopping by today, leave a few words so I know who's been.

Thanksgiving at My Sheri Crafts.

Hello there,
Well its that time again to come play along with us over at My Sheri Crafts. for our next challenge. This time it is the turn of my best friend Sandy to choose and with it being almost Thanksgiving in the USA she has asked us all to make a card for that holiday. Now I live over here in the UK and so don't celebrate that holiday so to join in I have made a Thank You card.

I made this 5x5 card using a bright white card blank and matting on to it some Graphic45 holiday paper, then I cut out 2 circles one in bling green and the other in mat red. I cut out a banner using the same paper as before.
I stamped out the wreath from O Christmas Tree by Verve Stamps and then I stamped out the bow on to the plaid paper and attached it. The sentiment is a stamp which came free with a magazine. To finish off I added 6 gems to the corners.

I also used the sketch from Mojo Monday so I will be entering this card in there challenge too.

Thanks for stopping by today

November Challenge at Bestie International.

Hi,
Well its time for another challenge over at Besties International and as its November 1st we are thinking "Fall".

This is my card for the challenge which uses the Autumn Bestie 3d decoupage kit, which is available here Sherri Baldy Besties Shop  I printed her out on to a A5 size photo paper to give you an idea of size and after cutting the layers I mounted her on to a mat cut from a Spellbinders die.
The card blank I made out of a deep burgundy red then I added a touch of green Graphic45 paper. I couldn't find a paper I liked in my stash next so I made my own first stamping with versa mark and embossing in gold a fern stamp. Then I set to with distress inks.
I cut two fishtail banners from papers used and added those then I wrapped around the bakers twine. The next paper is again a Graphic45 I just loved this sheet, I loved the cluster of sunflowers and autumn fruits which I added to with handmade flowers, a flourish, the twirly bits off the flowers and some dots of black and pumpkin perfect pearls.
All that was left to do was to add my image to the left and we are done.

I hope you get chance to join in with the challenge and pop back on the 15th for a look at another cute Bestie image made in to a project.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Anything with a Bow!

Hello,

Well it's the first of the month and time to play along with a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu and this time it is quite an easy one of 'anything with a bow' on it.
For this challenge I have made a card. It is one of three required for a young lady turning 21 soon.

This is a large A5 bright white card blank. First I took a piece of white card and stamped with different Dew Drop inks the full flower from the Verve simply Amazing  stamp set and then over stamped with the open flower. I then inked around the edge with a little mustard seeds ink and matted it on to a mustard cardstock. I wrapped around a satin ribbon and added the card to the card blank using foam pads.
I took the same ribbon to make a bow but first layed a black and white bakers twine bow with longer tails. I then stamped more flowers but the smaller sized open flower and added them to a few of the flowers using foam pads again to give lift.
I used the matching daisy die to cut the flowers above as well as the centre of the flower with I cut in glitter paper. I stamped some of the flower centers in black about the card and also added a few clear sequins too.

I got the idea for this card from Guest Diva  Mackie Robertson over at Verve shop Gallery . When I buy a new set I love to check out the gallery to see what has been created.

Well now it is your turn to go checkout the challenge and join in. Please leave a word or two as its nice to know who has stopped by.

Happy Birthday Sherri Baldy!

Hello,

As a Bestie International Design Team Member it gives me great pleasure to wish a Very Happy Birthday to Sherri Baldy. As a big fan of the images she creates I'm happy to share with you a card I made for her using this lovely image which I purchased last year.

The card is a 6x6 white card blank topped with some Hunkydory heart card, I wrapped around some soft yellow seam binding. Then I cut out a doily from some pearl pink card along with a flourish in pale blue. I coloured my image in using Promarkers and matted her on to two layers. The sentiment is by Verve.
To finish off I added 3 by 3 dots using Creative Expressions pale yellow glue.

Happy Birthday Sherri,

Sue

# 193 Creepy Crawly Time

Hi,
Over at My Sheri Crafts it is the turn of talented design team sister Peachy to choose the theme and as we are nearing Halloween she is asking us to make a project which includes 'critters that creep, crawl or fly'. Here is what I came up with,

I made the card blank first out of orange as you can see, then matted on some Graphic45 paper. I loved that little image of the girl with her kitten and so decided to mat her on purple glitter card which meant I could use purple on her clothes somewhere along with the orange and zesty green.
I used two other Graphic45 papers to make the other mats putting down on a angle. I fussy cut a few images out of the background paper and added those to the card front. The pumpkin boarder and spider were cut out from dies loaned to me by Cathy who attended the last Merly Crop Thank You.
I added some perfect pearls in Pumpkin to the image corners and the ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today, please pop over to see what the girls have made then show us yours.

Spooktacular Reminder for My Besties International

Hello,
I'm here to remind you all about the challenge running over at My Besties International blog. It is anything goes or you can join in the fun with a Halloween image. Which ever you choose it must be a Bestie image.

Here is what I have come up with this time,

It is a treat bag which I have covered using different papers from Graphic45. I have cut out a spiders web and ghostly boarder along with extra clocks to add dimension.
I put the little sentiment on to some purple glitter card allowing me to use the colour in my image. The sweet image 942 can be purchased here etsy.com/uk/shop/SherriBaldy I added a bow to the handles pulling in the colours.
Here is the back of the bag again covered in Graphic45 paper but to this I added the spooky tree by Tim Holtz and a scary spider. I can tell you from someone who hates spiders these are so real looking when they are laying on my work station!!

I added some white marker pen to one side of the tree and a few gems.

I stuffed the bag with tissue paper from the shop at Harry Potter World near London and on top I added lots of sweets.
Still time to join in with us and win fabulous images drawn by Sherri Baldy. Thanks for stopping by today, leave a word or two so I know you have been.

Jingle Belles Pink Christmas

Hi,
I follow the girls over on Jingle Belles and the challenge over there this fortnight is to make a PINK CHRISTMAS CARD or two and link up because for every card linked up the girls (Stephanie and Lauren) will donate each $2 to Breast Cancer Research Foundation now thats something to join in with don't you think.
I am hoping to make another before the challenge closes but here is my first.

It is a 5x7 white card blank and then after a little emboss I added the pearl pink paper. The image is so cute and she needed a little pink and lilac skating outfit, I cut her out using a X-cut die and inked the edges.
I decided to use the sketch over at viva-la-verve-october-sketch 1 to make this card. So I used silver mirri and lilac papers to make the ribbon banners embossing the shorter one then some pretty heart card to make the horizontal piece.

The sentiment is from Verve and I added a snowflake cut from a Spellbinder die. I hope you can play along for this great cause.

Sue.

I am linking this card up to viva-la-verve-sketch challenge too.

# 192 First Day of Fall

Hi,
Over at My Sheri Crafts it is my BFF Sandy's turn to choose the theme of our fortnightly challenge and she has come up with 'The First Day of Fall'. It is her favorite time of the year as she loves the colour of fall.

I decided to make a card but this time with no image! I knew I wanted to just put a sentiment in there so that is what I've done.

The card is a 5x7 card base in forest green. I made my own decorative paper by stamping a flourish and embossing in white, then added several layers of distress ink until I was happy. I matted that on to gold mirri tied a tartan ribbon around and added it to the card.
Then I printed my text and cut out using a SB die then adding mirri. I added a collection of gems to the top corners and a pile of leaves to the bottom.
Then just for Sandy I added the perfect adjective by Verve which I cut out twice.

Now it's your turn to show us your "fall" card.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Mojo Monday 468 challenge

Here is what I put together.

The card is a 6x6 cream card base. Covered with Christmas paper by Kaisercraft. The music paper I have had for some time and it is distressed I added the Pennant Die by Verve to the bottom using a dark red cardstock.
The image is Festive Wonderland by Daisy Mae which I cut out using my stitched die and mounted on to the card using foam pads. I added a tiny greeting and cut it out with Charming Ovals  die from Verve.
I added a touch of ribbon along with a bow of a similar type and another bow using bakers twine. A few drops of gold stickles and we are done.

My Besties International Challenge Blog Design Team First Post.

Hi and Good Morning,

I am so super excited to be able to announce that I am now on the Design Team for Besties International Challenge Blog. I have been following the challenges for some time now and never thought I'd get the chance to join such a super talented group of crafters able to share with you the lovely Sherri Baldy's images.

Today is the start of a new challenge for October which is Halloween. So for this challenge I chose a never before used by me precoloured image of (I call her) Professor Bestie, which can be found in mybestiesshop.com/store/p3559/May_color_printable_CVDV_1.html . I think she is mixing up some kind of Love Potion don't you think!

I made a 6x6 tent fold card blank out of this bright blue card I had in my stash which I thought matched her head scarf. Then to that I added sapphire crackle paper and then a small piece of Kaisercraft 13th Hour news print paper but inked in spiced marmalade first.
I chopped up a spooky tree by Tim Holtz and added that and hung a few pumpkins from it. Then I cut a couple of book sections from the Graphic45 Rare oddities paper to add to the side of Bestie then I added her after rounding the edges and inking. I don't know if you can tell but I 3'd her head and the bubbling flask (which I added glossy accents to).
At the bottom I added a pumpkin boarder which a very kind Cathy Knight loaned me to use at the recent Merly Impressions crop. I mounted it on black card and then ran some dotty ribbon round which I kind of thought looked similar to that on the image.
To finish off I cut a couple of sentiments from another Graphic45 sheet and matted those on black and added to the top and bottom.

I have to say I'm quite pleased with the way she came out today! Now it is your turn to join in to win some fabulous prizes. But first head over to the rest of the talented design teams blogs to see what wonders they have made for us all.

Leave a little message below to show you have been by I really love to read them.

Eclectic Ellapu Vintage or Shabby Chic

My Goodness, I just don't know where the time is going this year!

As it is 1st October that means it is time for a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu and this month we are asked to make a project in either the shabby chic or vintage style.

Here is mine

You know I don't know which style this falls in but I think it falls more towards Shabby Chic than the vintage.
This card is a 7x7 cream card blank which I added a piece of blue/green paper to but not before I stitched around the two corners with cream thread and distressed the edges. The pink paper has been distressed also and a blue dotty ribbon added before being placed down using foam pads, I also added the  scalloped trim die with the heart cut. The girls over at my sheri crafts will be pleased as I dusted off my Cricut machine (Hubby too if truth be known lol) and cut out the mat the image is sat upon.
I added a touch of my new find-cheesecloth under her first (still new at adding that so may have been a bit mean with it) you can find it here The ribbon girl then I added 3 pretty flowers along with a sprig or two. The butterfly is a left behind from another die.  Then I added my sentiment from the simply amazing stamp set and we were finished.

Now it is your turn to join in with us, so pick your theme and link up.

I am entering this card in the ribbon girls October challenge

#191 Christmas

Hi,
Well this time it is my turn to choose the challenge over at My Sheri Crafts and as time is marching on towards that busy time of the year for us card makers I thought I'd ask us all to make a Christmas card. However this card must NOT be flat but it must have many embellishments on it (well atleast 3!) lets see lots of lift. 3 months today it will be too late, you will have no more craft time so lets get going. Enter as many times as you like but no back dating please.

Well here is my card for the challenge and this time I decided to do a shaped card too. I made a 6inch tent fold card blank out of bright white using my stitched circle die. I then matted on to that a piece of Christmas seen paper which has the 3 wise men aswell as Mary and Joseph printed on it. I used my new die across the middle and wrapped a length of cream with gold ribbon around it but not before adding a gold mirri stitched circle off to one side. I stamped the 3 wise men in a sand coloured ink and cut out using a SB die.
The Peace stamp is by Rubbernecker and I've had it for years. I cut out some pointsetia flowers from papers used already and other cream scraps, gold too. The large flower in the middle is from a artificial Christmas flower which fell apart last year and I couldn't throw them out.
So as you can see plenty going on here so now it's your turn to show us your stuff!

Thanks for stopping by,

Sue

Viva La Verve September #2 challenge

Hello,
I decided to join in with this months viva-la-verve-september-sketch-2. As I needed a second wedding card in pastel shades I thought I'd use the sketch which is so pretty.

For this card I made a A5 card blank and used mostly papers from Kaisercrafts merlyimpressions.co.uk/607-on-this-day-from-kaisercraft paper pad which is no longer in stock but the full 12x12 papers are still there to purchase. The stamp is theirs too, however I did print out the main one.
I have added the hearts embossing folder to the first paper and stitched around the edge of the second adding some seedbeads here and there too. I added pearls around the one circle in the wedding colours and a small pink heart to the banner.
I added flowers from the Ribbon Girl. a new online shop I have found selling the sweetest embelishments I've seen at such great prices too. To them I added some sprightly sprigs by Verve and a few shine bright sequins by them too.

Thanks for calling in today.

How Sweet It Is!

Hello,

I saw over at My Besties International the current challenge is 'anything goes' or extra chances if you use a My Besties Image. As I needed a card I decided to join in. There is also a Design Team call out too.

Here is my card,

I won this image a few months ago, isn't she cute holding that basket of blueberries. I am following the sketch over at Mojo Monday   This week it is a jaunty angle one.

The card is a 6x6 bright white card blank. On to that I have matted a zigzag patterned paper in a pear green. The flower paper is matted on to a Tim Holtz card scrap which I gutted allowing me to mat the oval which has the sentiment on.
I placed the flower paper down first then added a spotty lavender ribbon. The image I have coloured in using my ProMarker pens, I have added clear glitter to the skirt frill and to the larger dots on the skirt I have added Glossy Accents.
The sentiment is from Verve's Love Everlasting set  which I love. I inked this in a Big and Juicy pad aiming at the purple section of the pad. As I mentioned above I used the scrap of card from below the flower paper. I added 3 gems of which 2 are royal purple and the other green.

I am also entering this card in the 100th challenge over at
Scrapbook Stamp Society challenge

#190 Travel Time

Hi,
This time over at My Sheri Crafts it is the turn of design team sister Glenda to choose the theme of our fun fortnightly challenge and this time it is one of 'Transport'. You must make a card/project with some form of transport on it.

Here is what I made. the card is a 5x7 tent fold black card base. On to that  I matted a jeans paper, then I took a vintage style Union Jack and put that on to a deep burgundy paper and placed that on a jaunty angle. The image of the scooter is a "Little Claire's" peel off from years back. I coloured it in using Pro Markers and matted that down. I printed out my own sentiment as this is for someone who has a super red Honda bike.
The Happy Birthday stamp is by Verve.

I hope you can play along with us this week. With the children back at school we have a little free time to craft so give it a go and join in with us.

Gift Giving at Eclectic Ellapu

Hello again.
Today over at EclecticEllapu its time for a new challenge and this month we (pink team)  have been asked to make a project which includes a gift. It can be a card showing gift giving or even a gift itself.

Here is my card for the challenge

I have made a 6X6 card from white and added a leaf green mat to it. Then I embossed a Tim Holtz paper with a ditsy flower. I cut 2 circles from some left over Graphic45 paper and added a glitter edge to them to match that on the image. I used some seam binding in pale blue to match the door.
I cut the image out using a Spellbinder die and put that down over the circles. Then to bring it all together I added a garden fence cut from some washed out wood paper from Kaisercraft to that I added the cute bird house which I did brush with pale pink and blue chalks but I don't think it shows up very well.
The Happy Birthday is a Verve stamp and the other is from my stash.

I hope you can come and play along this month.

#189 National Teddy Bear Day

Hello there,
Well it's that time again for joining in the fun over at My Sheri Crafts  and this time around it is the turn of owner Sheri to choose. Sheri has noticed it is National Teddy Bear Day in the U.S. on the 9th September so she thought it would be fun to use a little guy or two on your projects.

I needed a wedding card for my son to give 2 colleagues at work who are getting married over in Las Vegas in mid September. Here is what I made for him.

The image is one from a pre-coloured sheet by Hobby House using the image by Sylvia Zet. I cut it out using my new stitched square die. I had been making another wedding card at the time and the papers I have used on this were all cut offs from that.

The pastel green has been embossed using Sue Wilson's board and the pastel blue at the top is pearled. I used a pearl pink card to mat the image on to and also cut a pennant trim die the stamp is one of my new ones by Verve from the Love Everlasting set.
The flowers are from a new online shop I have found The Ribbon Girl she has some wonderful stuff on there and great prices too. I added a couple of SB fern sprigs and a little SB corner heart to the flowers to fill it out. My usual 3 gems to the corner and there we are.

Thanks for stopping by today, please pop over to the other girls blogs to see what fun cards they have made and then it's your turn to join in.
Pop back again soon to see the other wedding card I have made. Leave me a word or two so I know you have visited as I love to read them.

Happy Birthday

Hello Again,
Well as I said I have 2 posts today and this is the second. It is yet another using the Augusts Viva La Verve sketch #2.
I think this is such a fun sketch to use.

Here is my card.

This card is a 6x6 tent fold card which I matted on to it this wonderful flower paper, I'm afraid I can't remember where it came from but I have kept this small piece for a very long time!
I used some brown with cream dot satin ribbon and a big brown button which I saw one of the Diva's tying the bow behind and thought 'how cute' so I coppied.
The Happy Birthday is a plain Jane but no longer available. I stamped that using Espresso and cut it out with a stiched square die with a couple of mats for good measure. The distressed flower paper on the horizontal strip is also a precious save.
To finish off I added a few blooms and sprightly sprigs, then some dots of Liquid Pearls in platinum.

I am also entering this card in to the challenge over at  lil patch of crafty friends

Thanks for stopping by.
Sue

Viva La Verve #2 August.

Hi,
Today I have two posts and this is the first. It is my card for the second Viva La Verve  sketch for August

When I saw this I knew I would be able to join in.

Here is my card.

It is a 6x6 tent fold. I made my own background paper using a plastic bag and 4 distress ink pads. I added 2 images off the Better With You  set embossing on parts of the beans with WOW hot chocolate embossing powder.
Then I stamped the Java stamp on a cut off of cream card. The stripe is a paper I have had for years which I also used to paper piece on to the coffee cups. The main sentiment is off the set too which I cut out using a stiched circle die.
The Happy Birthday is from Simply Amazing set which I stamped in Butterscotch and cut my own fishtail banner. Everything is lifted using my trusty Pin Flare Glue.

I am also entering this card in to the following challenges. Scrabook Stamp Society, anything goes.

Christmas in Red

Hi,
Just managed to make another Christmas card yesterday whilst DH was out fishing. This one is following the theme over at Jingle Belles which is red. The card must be predominantly the colour red. So here is my take.

The card is a 6x6 cream card blank which I have matted deep red glitter card. I have used up several scraps on this too such as the Kaisercraft edge strip, the Santa paper and the Merry cut which is one I made years ago using a loaned Cricut cartridge.
The main image is by Bee Crafty and is called Claus and he is just lovely to stamp and emboss. I used JudiKins Rockin Red embossing powder which gives him a sort of golden red glow. He also got a touch of glitter card behind before going down using foam pads. I added 3 tiny buttons which I have had years and another stamp from I think Hero Art saying Christmas.

August Diva Dare

Hi,
Today I have made a card to add to the August Diva Dare over at Verve Stamps. The challenge is one to use either the photo or the colours of soft olive, soft yellow or vintage rose.

I decided to use the colours and the ribbon/threads on the dream catcher. Here is my take

I have made a 6x6, first down is a soft olive cardstock and on to that I tried something new that I have seen on Pinterest. I took a piece of card through an embossing folder, then using some long forgotten chalks I chose soft pastel colours and swirled them about in no particular design. I matted that on to the base but not before adding 4 threads leaving plenty to hang. The sentiment is from the words of wisdom stamp set by Verve which I stamped on to a coral card which then went down on to the olive.
I decided to add some perfect pearls in similar pastel colours to the panel and the corners of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today, leave a word or two so I know you have been.

#460 Mojo Monday

Hello,
I thought I'd enter in to this weeks Mojo Monday Challenge.

I needed a card for my friend, saw the sketch and thought I'd use it. So here is my take.

It's a 5x8 card, using a lovely olive paper with the swirls. Then I used a scrap of paper that I couldn't throw out but first I folded it and inked the edges. Then I cut a doily from the same background paper and inked the edges with worn lipstick on to that I added a soft yellow stitched circle. Then I matted a old rose pink square on to the last bit of the flower paper.
The sentiment is a gold peeloff which I have coloured with pear green Promarker and added that on to the same soft yellow and back ground paper as before.
To finish off I decided to add two flowers with a flourish in gold and a green sprig and of course a few gems.

Thanks for stopping by today.

# 188 Back to School

Hello there,

Over at myshericrafts design team sister Raquel has asked us to make a project which is related to 'back to school' or possibly college. As I have no one at school age anymore I decided to make a altered note book cover for a 6th former.

I first painted the cover in pink acrylic paint then added a piece of pink paper which had a fine blue line running through it. I stamped odd uplifting words all over along with tiny hearts, I also added a banner to the bottom then I cut the scribble line design die cut and added that. I cut flowers and leaves using scraps of paper and cut out the 'awesome' adjective from two scraps.
The image is coloured with my Promarkers and lifted using foam pads on top of a animal skin patterned paper. A few gems to the flowers, scattered a few sequins and finally added a tiny glitter gold heart.

Items used...
 simply amazing
Spellbinders Flower die.
wings of love
amazing adjectives
Pennant die
scribble die

I will also enter this project in other challenges too.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Where shall I hang my Stocking??

Hi,
Well here is the last of a group of Christmas cards I made last week. This one uses a cute image of a little girl who to me looks like she wants to know "where shall I hang my stocking".

I'm going to enter this card in to merry monday christmas challenge using #207 challenge.

This is a 6x6 cream card blank, which I have added some Graphic45 plaid paper, I added the red ribbon to the left. Then the 2 pieces of card were added to red card and mounted at jaunty angles. The image I coloured in using my Promarker pens then cut her out and mounted her on to red as well.
The holly was left over from another card and the sentiment is a good old peel off.

I'm entering in to SSSC #97 anything goes

Thanks for stopping by today.

Merry Monday Christmas catch up take 2

Hi,
I found this Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge whilst looking about last month. They do a weekly challenge but at the moment they are closed for the summer period. However they have come up with the idea that you can link up any missing cards you never got to make! As I have not made any I thought I'd give it a go.

I went through the weeks and picked out those I fancied having a try and here are a couple I have made.

#201 use purple, silver and white Also ##210 include the word Peace, Joy or Love.

This is a 5x5 card, using up a background paper free in a magazine along with a new die cut I picked up in a sale in the spring. To it I added silver corner peeloffs and silver stickles to the holes where the berries would be. I mounted the cut on to a square of purple card which had been matted on to white paper. I had to add the green for the leaves as it didn't look right without.

#187 use Tartan
This is also a 5x5 cream card which I folded back the front. I have added Graphic45 tartan paper to the back and the front. The postcard/photo is one of theirs too. I matted it on to 'bling' lime green and then on to red. The sentiment says from out house to yours stamped and matted the same way. I cut 2 sprightly sprigs
by Verve and added them to the top right corner and dotted on some red stickles. 4 green gems finishes it off.
Thanks for stopping by today, more to be added soon.

Second 3 of a kind

Hello,
Well as I said in my last post I'd made 2 cards for the jingle belles fortnightly challenge, which is to have 3 of something on it.
I'm normally last minute making my cards but as I need so many I thought I'd get started and what better place is to look around and join in at some of the blog challenges. I always look at this site and I think this may only be my 3rd or 4th card I have added (head hung in shame!) but I vow to mend my ways!

This is again a 5x7 card in a tent fold. I have used my very first stamp set I bought from Verve stamps which is O Christmas Tree, unfortunately it has been discontinued now. I stamped 3 of the holiday wreaths and on two I only coloured in a few petals but on the other I coloured in it all. I gave that a different bow too. Each bow has been stamped twice and added with foam pads to give lift. I also added some red stickles too. The greetings are from the same stamp set.
The holly paper is from Kaiserkraft and the postcard is one from Graphic45 which I've had for a couple of years.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you leave a word so I can come visit you.

3 of a kind!

Hi,
Well I think I'd better get started on some Christmas cards (I say this quiet as my DH won't say the word out loud till mid December as he's a postie!!) and what better place to start than checking out the jingle belles blog I look at this site every year and myself and BFF Sandy say we are going to do it!! but here we are in August and only just adding our first!

The challenge this fortnight is to make a card with 3 of something on it, such as 3 Kings, 3 Trees etc Well I've made 2 cards and here is my first. See if you can tell what there is on it to make it fit the bill.

I'll give you a clue, there are 3 different items which have 3 on!

The card is a 5x7 cream card blank which I have covered with a brown with pale blue dot, I picked this pad up in 2008. Then from the same pad I took the basket weave paper and matted it on to red card. Then the Jingle Bells music sheet is by Graphic45, I curled the edges and inked then layed both down on a jaunty angle. I added the holly ribbon along with two jingle bells. The 3 holly bunches I cut out from another Graphic45 paper and added to the corners with one being lifted on foam pads.
To finish off I had to add 3 red pearls, a sentiment peeloff and the last thing was some Perfect Pearls in powder blue over some of the dots on the paper.
Have you found the 3x3 of a kind then? Well I've told you 2, the third is Jingle Bells it is written 3 times on the music sheet, once is the title and twice in the music itself!

Thanks for stopping by today, leave a word or two so I know you've been.

Ecllectic Ellapu August Challenge

Hello,

Well it's the first of the month, which means its time for another challenge over at Ecectic Ellapu. This month the Pink Team have chosen to ask you to make a project which includes FLOWERS .

Here is mine,

This card is a big 7x7 bright white card blank. I needed a large card to cope with the paper I had chosen, this beautiful wild flower and bird paper in a Bronte Style, which I picked up in The Range.
I decided to highlight the purple on the bird and in some of the butterflies so I matted the paper on to textured purple cardstock, I also used the same to make a frame for my sentiment with it too.
I added a piece of ribbon with a simple knot to the side. Then after cutting out 2 Cheery Lynn flourishes I set to and made lots of flowers with vellum, curling the petals and adding gems to their centres. then placed them around sentiment.

Right now its your turn to show us your flowery creations. Please leave a word so I know you have stopped by today.

# 187 The Olympics are Coming

Hi,
DT sister Sarah has asked us to make a card or project which includes a sport which is in the summer Olympics.

I figured a lot of people would do the main event so I came up with the para-Olympics as my theme. This is a 6x6 navy card base with a postal paper flat on it. It shows the Queen on the stamp and I have used a few other British items on the card such as the brad and the gems in red, white and blue.

Come on and join in and show your colours for your sport or your country. Pop on over to the other girls blogs to see what they have made, sure to be a stunner or two there to get your ideas flowing.

Thanks for stopping by today.

#2 July Diva Inspiration Card.

Hi,
I just had to share this cute card I made today. I used a new die set I bought a couple of weeks back (stiched circles) to make my card base which is bright white. I'm just loving the colours in the july-diva-inspiration photo so I thought I'd make another.

I matted on to that this lovely large dot paper in a olive green colour. To that I added a orange shaped mat with a gold/yellow gingham on top. The sentiment is from my new Verve stamp set as are the flowers which I cut out using the new open dies Verve have brought out. I cut sprightly sprigs out, Amazing is a new die too the sequins are from Verves Christmas holiday set.

Thanks for stopping by today, leave a word or two as it's nice to see who's stopped by.

I'm also entering my card in the following challenge,

# 186 Just Chillin

Hello,
It's time for another challenge over at myshericrafts . This time it is Glenda's turn to choose and because it's coming in to school holidays over here in the UK it seems a perfect one. "Just Chillin" which means you must include ice-cream on your project.

Here is my take on the theme.

This is a 6x6 pink base tent fold card for a change.
I've used a new to me Bestie image which is so cute. I love this bright stripe paper which I mounted on to white first before putting it down on the card. Then I took 2 dotty papers and put them down at jaunty angles but not before running the green through a dotty embossing folder.
The image I coloured in with my ProMarkers, I added glitter to some of the ice-cream and Glossy Accents to the cherries and strawberry.
The image is mounted on to burnt orange which is similar to the spoon colour. The sentiment is a new stamp set from Verve called simply amazing. There are some Fab sentiments on this set along with lovely daisy's with there own dies too. The special has been lifted off the white with foam pads and it is stamped on to a cut off from the card blank just to pull it all together.
I decided to add a few buttons in the ice-cream colours just to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today, leave a few words so I know you have been for a closer look.

I will be entering this card in other challenges too.
