Drummer Boy

Thanks for stopping by today,

Here I have a small card I made to play along with a couple of fun Christmas challenges.

This is a cute 5x5 card blank in bright white to which I have added this fun paper which believe it or not is from a summer paper pad, one I won last month from Ribbon Girl.co.uk it is called Echo Park Summer Bliss the paper is double sided and I thought "why not".
To this I tied some red twine which I'd added a metal snowflake charm to. Then down went a music flourish and then a distressed bit of music paper. I then took my image which can be found Here and he is Scann0082 Drummer Boy which I coloured in with my Promarkers. I added some sprigs at the bottom and then dotted some bright red stars around.

I'm entering here  jinglebellesrock.blogspot.all-bundled-up.

Colour it Reminder Time

Hi,

It's 15th of the month and time for a reminder post for the current challenge over at coloritcreateitshowitoff.blogspot. It is as always a anything goes challenge so come on over and show us what you have been creating. There are prizes to be won!

Here is what I made for you all today..

I thought I'd do a fold back card this time. It is a cute 5x5 cream card blank for which I covered the back and the front fold in a dusty pink card. Then to the back I added a slightly smaller DCWV "Happy Birthday" paper and the a thin strip of their glitter card to the front panel.
I chose to use this darling image # img831 which can be purchased Here if you enter you could win her!
I coloured her in using my Promarker pens. Here is a photo showing a little of the inside.

I mounted her on to a butter yellow and then pink card and added her to the front panel. As she is surrounded by sewing bits and bobs I included buttons to the top left and bottom right corners, one being a orange heart one matching the button on her blouse.
I have pricked around the edges of several layers to keep with the theme of the image.

Thanks for stopping by today, please come over and share your makes.

Reminder Time at Besties International

Hello,

Well it's the 15th so it can only mean its time for a reminder of the challenge over at Besties challenge.blogspot.
We are still running with our theme of Steampunk and this time I've made a large tag which I intend to add to the front of a gift bag at some point!

I have used this cute little person ( could be a girl or guy I thought!) img131_Steampunk and I chose to colour him in shades of lavender. I used my Promarker pens and then I cut him out.
I made a tag using a DCWV paper pad and embossed a cogs frame (which you may just see on the right hand side) and inked it. Then I ripped a Lawn Fawn paper to fit the left side and inked that too. I cut out several cogs using my Spellbinder set and added those.
Then I chose some sentiment stamps from Kaisercraft at Merly Impressions. and added those along with a couple of glittery whirls and a brad. I chose purple gingham and shimmery green ribbon to tie at the top.

Thanks for stopping by, leave a word or two so I know you called in.

Peace On Earth!

Hi,
Today I'm sharing a card I've made to join in with the challenge over at Jinglebellesrock.blogspot. This time around they would like cards to be made with layers. The challenge is called Bundled Up.

Here is what I have come up with...

There are 4 layers to this card so I hope it cuts the mustard!

The card is a 6x6 cream card stock which I first added the Wise Men paper to. The image is on a double sided paper/card so once I cut that out using my stitched oval I turned it over, embossed it, distressed the edges and inked it and to complete the look I added a copper/brown lace piece. I spared a small piece which had the words Silent Night on and distressed that hanging it over the edge a bit.

Then I cut out fern leaves and added those along with a couple of handmade paper straws. Then I added the image and to complete the look I added  a couple of baby fern cones and 4 paper poinsettias which I made. The sentiment is by RubberNecker Stamps.

I'm joining in with the following challenges too

Little Miss Cutie Pie

Well here comes summer, I hope!

And what do we all love? Nothing better than a good old slice of Nana's homemade apple pie with lashings of thick cream or hot custard. That was just what I thought when I saw this darling image Img664 I call her Bestie Baked in a Pie! I've made this card for the new challenge starting over at color it create it show it off.

My very own bestie helped me with the idea of the shape of this card as I was a little stuck shall we say!! She knows what I mean here lol.
I've made a circle easel card out of cream card stock, just short of 6inches. I've coloured her in using my Promarker pens and matted her on to lavender glitter card. I took 2 circles of lavender paper and ran them through a embossing folder before adding to the card. I then added a circle of dot cream paper. A few flag banners and flowers and I was done!
The stopper is a red apple from my stash and there is another flower behind.

OK so now it's your turn to join in with us. As always we are a Anything Goes challenge and we have prizes to be won too, so come over and join in the fun.

Steampunk fly, soar,dream

Hello,
Well it's the beginning of June so that must mean two things!  Summer and time for another fun challenge over at besties challenge.blogspot.

This month our theme is as always anything goes but also we have a theme and for June it is Steampunk.  For this challenge I have used this wonderful SteamPunk Fairy Image 103 I decided to make a easel card using a burnt orange cardstock which so happens to go with her glasses and boot top.

The card base and top are covered with postmark paper leaving a slight boarder. I have added flourishes in pale blue and dusty pink under the image, along with a selection of cogs. Because she is wearing a sheer skirt I picked that up in the ribbon used at the bottom. I picked up those Zipper roses in a sale a short while ago.

Here is a side view, it shows a Birthday message strip behind the fold and also you can see how the two sentiments out front hold the easel back.

I do hope you will come and join us this month in the fun, prizes to be won too. Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to say Hi.
